Paul Carolan has left the European mobile brand advertising leader Widespace, where he served as UK Managing Director for the past 2 years, to join the London based performance coaching practice Archipelo. Carolan joins as Managing Director and will take up his new position in September. Archipelo is one of the leading coaching companies in the UK led by founder and Director Gary Cole. Archipelo works closely with client partners within the UK Media industry including agency groups such as We Are Social, Group M, Facebook, OMG; traditional organisations such as Incisive Media & JC Decaux and a range of leading SME businesses such as Rhythmone (formerly Radiumone), Blismedia & Twitch.
Carolan said “this has been a long-held ambition of mine to work within a coaching and development environment full time, but also to further strengthen my own personal coaching qualifications and credentials. Carolan has worked in the media industry for the past 25 years, working in senior positions in such companies as Global Radio, Microsoft, Virgin Radio and JCDecaux. He has mentored several people in and out of the industry, works with NABS mentoring scheme, and been responsible for implementing and running many training academies.
He added “the need for team and personal coaching in our industry has never been greater. The ability to work with teams and individuals to help them navigate such transformational times, as well as giving them tools to manage increasing workloads and stress levels, is something that is incredibly meaningful.”
